What is the best shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioning treatment, shine enhancer for the hair and when?

and how often should I use them? What is the best shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioning treatment, shine enhancer for the hair and when?
I think bio-silk is the best. They have shampoos, conditioners and silk therapy for shine. You can use them everyday. For deep conditioning, leave the bio-silk conditioner on for 20 mins. wrapped in a warm towel and rinse. Silk Terry is a leave in and can be used on wet or dry hair. What is the best shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioning treatment, shine enhancer for the hair and when?
best shampoo is Infusion

best conditioner is v05 hot oil

best shine - Allure
redken FAT CAT is great! it is a weekly treatment ,i also like redken extreme it is a dark bottle for use often
If ur black try Olive oil products once every 2 weeks

if ur spanish or white try granier frutius and i guess every other day.
The Best I have found to be is Dove,

The Shampoo Advanced Color Care and the Advanced Conditioner.. and also try th Dove Define and Shine Control Gel
Try to use REJOICE COMPLETE SHAMPOO and LOREAL CONDITIONER
I like Redken and Bumble and Bumble..shine enhancer I would use a pin size of Bumble's shine..and I mean a pin size.
The best shampoo and conditioner is Matrix sleek look use at least every other day if not daily

The best shine enhancer is CHI Shine Infusion ( it it used for shine, frizz control and a thermal protectant all-in-one) use every day for styling

Deep conditioning Treatment is Cholesterol (found in the ethnic hair product isle) use only when needed

Hope this helps.

  • Whenu use the pantene 3 min miracle treatment do u have to use pantene shampoo and conditioner or any brand?

i purchased the 3 min miracle tube todday,, i applied it after using herbal essences shampoo and conditioner and i dint really find any diffrence in my hair so i was just wondering do you have to use the pantene shampoo and conditioner?Whenu use the pantene 3 min miracle treatment do u have to use pantene shampoo and conditioner or any brand?
You didn't say what you were expecting, but you can use different brands. Unlike what someone else said, you are not ';supposed'; to use matching brands. Products are marketed this way so that you will buy their product.Whenu use the pantene 3 min miracle treatment do u have to use pantene shampoo and conditioner or any brand?
I've used it before and I used the pantene Pro-V shampoo, I don't think your supposed to use your conditioner when you use it... anyways it worked good for me, but it really depends on your hair type. Your ';supposed'; to use pantene, but I really don't think it makes much of a difference.
Not necessarily. Usually the shampoo companies say that it is better to use both shampoo and conditioner. You can use any shampoo with any conditioner as long as the products suits you. Good luck!
try aussie 3 min miracle smells amazing
You should be able to use any shampoo

Shampoo, conditioner, moisturizing treatment...what order do they go in?

I use a basic shampoo and a separate conditioner. But I have an issue with dry, breakable hair, so I got some moisturizing treatment, too. But I'm not sure if I treat then condition, or the other way around. Or do I need to condition if I do the treatment? Help, please - thank you!Shampoo, conditioner, moisturizing treatment...what order do they go in?
With dry, breakable hair..honestly..the very best thing you can do is this...wash it MAXIMUM 3 times a week. I know that alot of people on here are going to think that that is totally disgusting, but here's why : when you don't wash your hair, your scalp produces NATURAL oils to help condition and protect the folicle. What happens then is your hair is getting its OWN conditioning! If you need to style your hair, or don't feel comfortable or clean if you don't wash your hair every day, then simply RINSE it under barely warm water. This will not take away the natural oils. In fact, you will be helping to spread the oil from your scalp through your hair, which will go a heck of a lot further than conditioning your hair with something from the shampoo aisle!

You can also try getting more protein into your diet. Hair and nails are made up of protein. Lack of protein or not enough will cause your hair and nails to become brittle.

Don't forget dairy products! Calcium in your body helps with the condition of your hair as well.

Don't forget..your hair is DEAD once it passes from the follicle and grows out. It may LOOK like conditioning products are helping, but all that they reallly do is plump up the shaft of hair making it look healthier. Diet and proper hydration is really the key to great hair.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

:o)Shampoo, conditioner, moisturizing treatment...what order do they go in?
    shampoo, condition, treat

if its a leave in conditioner its okay, but it goes in tht order

treat your hair when u wake up and wen you go to bed. it might help if u buy silk pillow cases!
Well, conditioner basically is a moisturizing treatment, so it would be doing the same thing twice.

I would try using shampoo then moisturizing treatment, and if your hair is still dry and breakable, use both conditioner and the treatment, in that order.
You need a special shampoo and conditioner for your hair type. A good one to use is neutrogena triple moisture it really helps for dry hair, that or anything that has moisture Mane' n Tale is a good one too Also use a hot oil treatment once a week and do not heat style your hair unless you absolutely have to and if you do have to use a heat protection spray. and use an ionic blow dryer. You have to protect your hair. Also do not use any chemicals in it until it gets healthy again and get your ends cut at least once every 4 weeks until it stops breaking.
    1.Shampoo.

    2.Moisturize.

    3.Condition.

4.Use a bit of hair spary.

    Hope UR hair loks Better.

How to use hair treatment, should i put, cover with hot towel then wash with water or put after shampoo and no

Should i apply after washing as cream to help in combing or i should wash it with waterHow to use hair treatment, should i put, cover with hot towel then wash with water or put after shampoo and no
It depends what type of treatment you're using. It should have a direction for use.

But usually the best way to use hair treatment is before wash, and cover with bath cap. Keep it on for around an hour and then wash and style as usual. There is rarely big improvement after the first use, so don't give up. Hair treatments do work, you have to be patient.

    Good luck!!!

    Topical treatment versus shampoo?

Are topical treatments really better for a puppy versus a shampoo to prevent ticks? My puppy has been getting ticks and I've been using shampoo because I thought it was safer than a topical treatment. However, after reading some answers to my other question I am seeing that topical is recommended. Why is it safer? I do have a topical treatment called ';Proticall'; given by my vet but most people seem to be recommending Frontline and Advantix. Two questions...is topical safer? AND anyone heard of ';Proticall'; and had success? THANKS!Topical treatment versus shampoo?
ive never heard of protocall. So i know nothing about it. And yes topical treatment is better. Flea and tick shampoos are both very harsh on the dog's sensitive skin and can be toxic. I used to use a flea/tick shampoo on my dog before i knew how it was actually bad unless necessary and the shampoo made his skin very dry, itchy, and irritated.

  • Please tell some treatment after shampoo to hairs to look wet and gloss whole day long?

As long as you use a great shampoo and an excellent conditioner, you can use a gel, but I'd rather suggest a Styling Cream or even a Pomade. Yes, on wet hair. Even a couple drops of Olive Oil. I know it sounds weird, but the idea is the oil will coat the cuticles of the hairstrand which will make it shine. It won't work as well as the Styling Cream or Pomade however but you asked for ideas. Please tell some treatment after shampoo to hairs to look wet and gloss whole day long?
Try a glossing cream like from Frederic Fekkai they have a line of shampoo and conditioner too to use with it.

After you wash your hair let it dry about halfway and apply your favorite styling product, mousse, gel, hairspray, ect. Then pull into a bun high up on your head and let dry completely. When you pull it out turn your head upside down and shake a little, and viola beautiful natural looking curls! Good luck!

Do you u use shampoo, conditioner, leave in treatment all in the same day?

i gots very frizzy hair and damaged hair, and have just bought the infusium 23 frizzologie steps 1-3

I am wondering does it work? and do u apply all three things the same day.

Also why does my hair when i am shampooing or conditioning my hair come off a bit?

Is it due to the years of damage?Do you u use shampoo, conditioner, leave in treatment all in the same day?
After i practically shaved my head, i stopped using shampoo and conditioner. I get complements allot about how nice my hair is. It has no split ends and is never greasy. I still use hair product, but nothing harsh or anything with alcohol in it.

People have always had hair, but shampoo is a recent invention. It's bad for your hair...Do you u use shampoo, conditioner, leave in treatment all in the same day?
Use shampoo, conditioner and leave-in one day, then the next just conditioner and leave-in. Alternate that every other day. And everyone has a little hair fall out, that's normal.
    lolwut
You shampoo and condition your hair in the shower and after you towel dry your hair that's when you put the leave in treatment in. I don't know what to tell you about how to handle your hair, you should get the opinion of about 3 different hair stylists at three different salons to get an okay answer ask more for the best answer. As the hair stylists that know what they are talking about will all tell you the same thing and you will see a pattern and then follow that advice and if your hair changes again do the same thing. Oh and be ready for each of them to sell you some severly overpriced product. I think they get commission. Follow the same directions, if they offer you the same products at different places follow the pattern and buy the most recommended one. I think this is the best way to get the best advice and save you from buying many unneeded, overpriced and useless products.
you can but wash your hair AT MOST every other day! I have dry hair to and there is no need to wash it every day.

also, when you do wash it, it is not necessary to shampoo it every time because that takes moisture out of your hair.

In a nutshell: as long as you dont wash your hair every day then yes, u can use all 3 products at once
Yeah, everyday. Just don't use too much shampoo or conditioner.

    :D
    yup plzzz answer
I have only even left it in all day once, which is when I had profound knots.
    wow thats like me.

Yeah, use it all same day.

What's the best treatment for dog fleas? Shampoo, drops, spray or comb?

Can you get injections for dog fleas? What's the best treatment for dog fleas? Shampoo, drops, spray or comb?
Frontline is the only type of flea treatment that works for my dogs and cats. I have two pets with flea allergies (one of my dogs and one of my cats) so not treating fleas is a non-option. I have tried natural treatment with zero success. Frontline has always been consistent and highly affective. What's the best treatment for dog fleas? Shampoo, drops, spray or comb?
the best treatment for dog fleas would probably be canineadvantage spray, canine advantage shampoo, and combing doesnt really get the fleas out. and 80% of the time drops dont work. try it.
frontline its great also treat the house your vet will have some spray for the house its costly put you dont want the cycle to continue
the tablets are better but frontline from the vets is the best
drops and get them from your vet not at the store
Get some drops from the vets more expensive than the pet shop but they do work.
funny you should ask....i went to the vet last week and they told me that they could give my pup a flea jab,but it would cost 拢350 !!!
Once you have got rid of the initial infestation, frontline is the most popular, give it garlic pearls in its food good for the heart and once in the blood fleas hate it and move on.
Advantage works beautifully. It is somewhat expensive, but works like a charm. See your vet or go to 1800petmeds.com
Just to reinforce - Frontline - no need for injections, shampoos - just squidge it on the back of your dog's neck .. available from any decent vet ..
Yeah you can get injections. My dog has to get injections because of his sensitive skin. But if you want a cheap, non-chemical way to get rid of the fleas, Olive oil works. Just pour it on your dog and comb through his/her fur with a lice comb. It works wonders.
First let me tell you that I own a pest control company and what I will recommend is the complete treatment that should help you completely get rid of the fleas.

First, treat the pet with Capstar. This is a pill that you get from the vet that will kill all of the fleas that get on the animal for the first 24 hours. Second, use either Frontline or Advantage, these can also be purchased from the vet. Frontline can be used on pets 12 weeks old or older. Advantage can be used on animals as young as 6 weeks. If the pet is old enough for either product, switch back and forth between the two. One month use one, the next use the other. The reason I recommend this is that there are two main types of fleas that infest pets. One product works better on the first type and the other product works better on the second type. By using both, you make sure you have covered all your bases.

Once the pet has been treated, you must treat your home and yard. The best products to do this would include not only a killing agent, but also a sterilization agent. Inside, I would use Ultracide, if you can get it. (Many on line sites sell it.) Follow the instructions on the label! Wash all animal鈥檚 bedding and vacuum frequently. Throw out the vacuum bag or dump the catch container after every vacuuming. You can never vacuum too much! DO NOT STEAM CLEAN YOUR RUGS! This can hatch flea eggs and make your problem worse.

Outside I would use Demon WP mixed with Gentrol or Nylar, carefully following label instructions. Treat the entire yard, paying special attention to under bushes and low hanging branches. Most of these products can be bought at any Do-It-Yourself Pest Control company either on line or in a store.

Treating your house and yard is just as important as treating the pet!

It is also very important to stay away from the grocery store or box store products like Zodiac or Hartz. Many of these products can cause severe allergic reactions in animals.
It is a two step process. To get rid of the fleas currently on your dog, use a good flea shampoo. Then take him to the vet and he will give you a pill that will kill any fleas or eggs that were left behind. You can then put him on a once a month preventive flea medicine. I prefer Frontline. This should take care of it. Be sure to wash all dog bedding in hot water as well.
    Frontline
Do all that you mentioned... Shampoo and make sure you use frontline in the future
What's best is a combination of what you've mentioned. Bathe the dog in a non-insecticidal shampoo, leaving the shampoo on the dog for 5 minutes before rinsing. This will kill the majority of the fleas. While the dog is in the tub marinating in the shampoo, have someone be treating the carpet and sleeping areas with a powder or spray. Dry your dog and then comb out any little critters that might be left. Then apply the drops suggested by your vet. I personally prefer Frontline. Most drops require that you wait a few days to apply them after bathing so the dog's natural coat oils will make them spread effectively.

    Never heard of injections.
Id recommend drops. But you have to keep the treatment up ,every 5/6 wks
the best thing for fleas is garlic my grandma told me about it at first i thought she was nuts but it turned out it worked. try it it might work for you too.let me know
I find the best treatment is to combine all these things.

First, flea shampoo thoroughly. Then spray the areas your pet goes in - washing all bedding etc. If the floor is carpeted you will need to spray the whole floor.

Then the next day, spray your pet to kill off any remaining fleas.

Then keep using drops and spray until you have no sign of more fleas.
    i think drops!

    good luck!
Drops are best. I've had no good luck with drops lasting a long time though. But shampoos are pointless without the drops since the fleas will still live in your carpet/furniture. With flea drops, its absorbed into the skin and the fleas stay away therefore moving onto their next victim.
Frtontline, advantage or revolution. These are topical treatments (meaning they are applied to the skin) that need to be applied once a month.

    They really work.
flea dip is the BEST treatment..the vet can prob do it and then make sure you keep him/her on frontline and NOT a flea coller..they dont work :) hope that helps some..OH and you need to bug bomb your house too a couple of times because they will live and bite you and get on everything..they live a VERY long time
Shampoo for sure. my dog had fleas and we washed him in this flea shampoo for 3 days in a row and his fleas were immediately gone. they work for a pretty long time but every once in a while we have to wash him again

Is washing your head only twice a week with conditioners, shampoo and leave in treatment beneficial?

absolutely. when washing hair, less is more... the ideal is to wash your hair with conditioner only. A stylist told me that. Your hair may look like crap for a few days, but have faith.. it will adjust. Is washing your head only twice a week with conditioners, shampoo and leave in treatment beneficial?
i have a friend who doesn't shampoo her hair at all; she just rinses it and uses conditioner. shampoo will strip the natural oils from your hair, causing your scalp to react by producing extra oil. this is why most people's hair gets so greasy after only a day or two of not shampooing. but if you go without it, your scalp will adjust and stop producing excess oils. so less is more with shampoo.

  • I drop a lot of hair! Anyone knows any kind of shampoo or something to treatment for hair losing?

Thank you!I drop a lot of hair! Anyone knows any kind of shampoo or something to treatment for hair losing?
I got a personal theory that It's beacuse of consant shampooing and gelling and moussing and stuff that everyones hair is falling out and getting thinner. It seems as if people had more hair in the seventies. Everyone seemed to have thicker hair back then. I drop a lot of hair! Anyone knows any kind of shampoo or something to treatment for hair losing?
the stylist actually carry products for those who have thinning hair to help minimize hair loss and rebuild hair growth, but for over the counter a good shampoo is called 'thicker fuller hair' its in a green bottle and smells wonderful, i got it for my husband at kmart.

I drop a lot of hair! Anyone knows any kind of shampoo or something to treatment for hair losing?

Thank you!I drop a lot of hair! Anyone knows any kind of shampoo or something to treatment for hair losing?
Don't use Head and Shoulders! The average person loses 80 strands of hair per day. If yo have very long hair, it might seem like a lot more. Nioxin makes a great shampoo and conditioner to help stimulate the scalp and strengthen your follicle. If you use over-the-counter shampoo and conditioner, it has a high wax content and attaches to each strand of hair, weighing it down, and causing breakage. Paul Mitchel's Tea Tree is another great product!!!I drop a lot of hair! Anyone knows any kind of shampoo or something to treatment for hair losing?
MIght need more protein or B vitamins in diet. Have thyroid checked.

Rogaine, but you have to use it all the time
    head and shoulders

Has anyone tried Redken extreme products (shampoo, CAT treatment, anti snap treatment etc)?

I have badily damaged hair and breakage from a hairdresser ruining my hair with hair dye, and was wondering if using these products would help. If they are effective I don't mind paying out the money.Has anyone tried Redken extreme products (shampoo, CAT treatment, anti snap treatment etc)?
Redkan CAT treatment is by far THE BEST HAIR PRODUCT I have EVER used!

My hair is badly damaged by over bleaching (Think Gwen Steffani) - Its THAT blonde and was in terrible condition, snapping, falling out and felt like cotton wool.

CAT restors the hair from the inside out - I bought one box of CAT first off and used it everytime I washed my hair. Now I just use it once a week and my hair is in FANTASTIC condition.Has anyone tried Redken extreme products (shampoo, CAT treatment, anti snap treatment etc)?
I love this product I can't go back to regular brands anymore. Try their Redken Extreme anti-snap if you have alot of breakage and split ends. Its fantastic. The products have a lite green apple scent its great. just after using them once i saw a huge improvement. Report Abuse

YES REDKEN IS EXCELLENT IS VERY CONCERTRATED SO YOU WONT HAVE TO USE MUCH AND IT WOULD LAST YOU FOR QUITE A LONG TIME!!
I'm a swimmer, and chlorine was wreaking havoc on my hair. My stylist recommended Redken All-soft shampoo and conditioner, followed by Extreme Anti-Snap. When I blowdry, I work in some Redken Smoothdown serum--you can also use this as a gloss to finish.

I was suspicious, because I don't usually spend that much on my hair, but it's actually been worth it. I've noticed a big difference in how my hair looks and feels; it also gets greasy more slowly, so I can get away with washing it every other day.

So I'd highly recommend a product upgrade. Quick tip--if you get small bottles and like them, you can go to a beauty supply store and get bottles that are 4 times as big for twice the price, so that helps make it more affordable to use the products.
yes it is extremely good but very expensive if you don,t mind paying use it you will feel the different
I have used it, but my hair didn't feel any different. I had my hair bleached about a year ago, and it was really brittle. My hair still breaks, but now I use Redkin Smooth (or something like that) and my hair feels soft and not nearly as distressed.

Shall i use nizoral shampoo for dandruff and hair loss treatment?

shall i use nizoral shampoo for dandruff and hair loss treatment?Shall i use nizoral shampoo for dandruff and hair loss treatment?
I've been using Nizoral AD over-the-counter shampoo for a few years and recommend it. The important thing about Nizoral is that it contains ketoconazole, which kills the fungus responsible for seborhiac dermatitis. Seborhiac dermatitis is one possible cause of dandruff and Nizoral is excellent at treating this particular cause.

Some people have noted that ketoconazole affects the amount of testosterone in hair follicles in the scalp, and claim that the shampoo will help maintain a healthy head of hair. I am definitely balding but haven't really lost any more hair in the years since I've been using Nizoral. Is this a result of the shampoo? Maybe, but I can't say for sure.

Finally, Nizoral is an excellent shampoo. Just a little will lather up nicely, and it feels and smells very good. I do not notice any dryness after using it... in fact, it leaves my hair feeling well conditioned. It is expensive, however -- a 7 ounce bottle costs something like $14. I'll keep using it, though... I do recommend Nizoral AD.Shall i use nizoral shampoo for dandruff and hair loss treatment?
Nizoral does work but it makes the hair very dry.

Anyone recommend a pre-shampoo treatment for coloured ash blonde highlights ?

Tried Ojon Reconstructive %26amp; Burt's Bees Rosemary/Nettle green concoction and no good for me.

I have naturally mid brown hair and chose to have light ash blonde highlights. My hair is thick and naturally curly, so with the addition of the blonde (bleached) highlights and living in windy Scotland (!) my hair is kinda dry.

I am looking for a pre shampoo treatment to do weekly on dry hair which will condition and also ideally combat signs of brassiness.

Does such a product exist ?

    Any ideas ?

thanks! What treatment (shampoo, ect) actually helps to help make my hair straight?
Use it with the styling products and it will. Make sure you blow dry your hair straight otherwise it won't matter, but it really works for me. You can get amazing blowouts with the product and it smells great! What treatment (shampoo, ect) actually helps to help make my hair straight?
eh, in my years of battling the curls i've found nothing that actually works. no shampoo claiming to straighten your hair actually does so. My advice to you is to cut your hair shoulder length and get a hair straightener with the thin plates. This will help you get ready faster, especially if you have less hair to work with.

    best of luck
Ok if its a shampoo, conditioner ect from Walmart, Target or any pharmacy it WILL NOT WORK. I've tried every brand you see at the store. The only shampoo that helps straighten your hair is Pureology Super straight.
no, i have pretty straight hair to begin with but it has a little wave with short layers and i used it; nothing.

i like the hairspray though for when i straighten my hair.
I have yet to try any that work. And no it doesn't, you're best of just straightening it.

I just bought OJON treatment and shampoo and conditioner. I have used it 3 Xs now.. my hair looks worse why?

i followed the instructions even left it in all night. my hair looks more damaged then before...helpI just bought OJON treatment and shampoo and conditioner. I have used it 3 Xs now.. my hair looks worse why?
Ojon can be a little heavy. I used a little too much, and my hair felt like a grease ball. You definitely don't want to leave it in all night. Use a regular, clarifying shampoo and shampoo it out of your hair. I recommend that you just use a small amount, each time. I have realtively thick hair, and it really weighted down my hair. I love the products, but I use them in moderation. Don't make it your everyday shampoo/conditioner, try to use it only 1 time per week, and this should help.

Bad to use a second treatment of lice shampoo before 7-10 days

The directions say you must apply a second treatment 7-10 days after the initial treatment. I really want to make sure my lice is gone, I want to leave my house. Is it alright if I go ahead and use the treatment before the 7 day mark as long as I make sure I pick out all the nits?Bad to use a second treatment of lice shampoo before 7-10 days
    Andreww,

You should be cautious inusing it a second time inside of 7 days for a couple of reasons. First, you do a second treatment because the manufacturer knows that it does not kill the eggs and that their comb will not get all of the eggs out. Second reason is that the chemicals are quite harsh and your body needs time to flush them out since they will be absorbed through your scalp. Not sure what is in the one that you used but do a search on Lindane (which is in some of them) and you will see why we favour chemical free treatments like NitFree and others.

Maybe consider getting one of the NitFree combs to check and see if you actually did get all of the nits.

Good luck. Bad to use a second treatment of lice shampoo before 7-10 days
It's fine my little bro had that problem and my mom put the shampoo on him constantly and it did help it go away. Make sure you wash your clothes and spray your furniture!!!

Yeah, it's best to have clean hair before a oil treatment.

Just purchased Redeken Color Extend shampoo, will that help damaged thin hair that needs color treatment?

My hair dresser told me to get something with color treatment, and I've been using regular hair shampoo like dove, pantene, john freida and my hair has been a complete damaged reck, so I figured I go to a salon to purchase something nicer, that might help more.

Does Redeken get the job done?Just purchased Redeken Color Extend shampoo, will that help damaged thin hair that needs color treatment?
Let me tell you that Redkin's All Soft has helped my hair so much! I love it. I have been used so many different shampoos and love this All Soft. However, I would also recommend Pureology. That's an awesome shampoo. A little pricey but wow will you feel it! Hope that helped! You should also get a leave- in conditioner.Just purchased Redeken Color Extend shampoo, will that help damaged thin hair that needs color treatment?
redken color extend is actully to make your hair color last long, thus is a very gental shampoo. most redken products will help with that but if your looking for damge repair i suggest a moistuiser and a reconstrutor. i prefer the joice kpak line, but i do know that redkens butter treatment is very good.

ok i have POOFY HAIR!!!!!!(straight too) and there seems to b no answer for my ugly poofy hair!!!!!!!!!!!! its VERY volumized......will the shampoo and treatment help de poof my hair by making it ';skinny'; ? or should i use matrix sleek look 4 my poofy hair?Paul mitchell super skinny shampoo/treatment?
I bought this product and had the same exact problem :] and the answer would be yes it does work very well. the only thing is after you wash your hair i suggest straightening it with a good straightner and using some non-frizz serum that you can buy at a drugstore or beauty supply store. the reason is because by the end of the day my hair would poof up if i didnt straighten it.

good luck %26amp;+ i kno wat a pain it is to have your hair that way :]Paul mitchell super skinny shampoo/treatment?

Which is the best shampoo n conditioner or treatment for very dry hair?

Mane 'N Tail or Creme of NatureWhich is the best shampoo n conditioner or treatment for very dry hair?
If you don't mind spending a little extra money, I'd highlight recommend the Goldwell Shampoo/Treatment from their ';Kerasilk'; line. It does a great job on dry/damaged hair. I got a good size bottle of shampoo and a huge bottle of the conditioning treatment for about $28 at a higher priced salon.

If you're not looking to spend too much, as someone else suggested, the Aussie Moist line is pretty good. I found the conditioner to be a little bit heavy in that if I used it a few days in a row it was making my hair kind of hard to style...but 2-3 times a week was fine.Which is the best shampoo n conditioner or treatment for very dry hair?
I use Dove moisturizing shampoo for medium to thick hair. Plus, once a week use a deep conditioning treatment like Queen Helene's Cholesterol. It sounds gross, and it kinda feels that way, too, but it's excellent.
Other than using shampoos and conditioners - You should also consider going in for oil massages - for your hair.

The deal is - A lot of these shampoos and conditioners dont really replenish the moisture on a permanent basis - you need to keep using them in order to maintain that ';glossy/soft'; look.

You can use oils like - almond or jojoba... massage your scalp and apply to your hair. After an hour or so, wash your hair with regular shampoo and follow it up with a conditioner.
my suggestion..and i swear by this..is putting mayonnaise in my DRY hair..

when hair is wet, it becomes water logged causing the hair to not soak up the conditioners as well.

i have shoulder length hair so i use 1/3 cup mayonaise mixed with a little bit of regular conditioner ((or essential oil because the mayo smells a bit weird))

apply to dry hair and wrap hair in a warm towel..the heat helps allow hair to soak all the good stuff up. ((warm the towel in the dryer for a few minutes))

    hope this helps!!
This should help. Beat an egg in a cup of milk. When it foams, rub it into the scalp.Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly with water.Carry out this routine twice a week for excellent results for dry damaged hair. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.
use nivea protien repair shampoo for dry and damaged hair.....itssssss the best shampoo.and only costs 4.99$.
Depending on what price you are wanting to pay, I have two recommendations.

1st product line which is a little pricey is the Redken Smooth Down line, from salon. They have a really great treatment, Butter Treat, for extremely dry hair. (Use the shampoo and then put on the treatment and let it sit on your hair for an hour, then rinse.)

2nd product line is the Aussie ';Moist'; products. (Use the Moist shampoo and then the 3 minute DEEEP treatment. Again let it stay in your hair for about an hour, then rinse.)

I use both of these product lines and really like them.

Herbal Hair Re-growth Treatment Shampoo its really work?

i take multivitamin, biotin 5,000 IU, Vitamin E 400IU and super vitamin b-complex (yes that's what the vitamin is called) all of these can be found at walmart,CVS,etc. It will take at least 1 month to kick into your system. these are the basic components to healthy hair. if your hair isn't healthy it wont grow. Next try massaging the scalp with avocado, sweet almond oil, or jojoba oil with a few drops (3 drops at the most) of essential rosemary oil or lavander oil (once a week)they are proven to help re-grow hair. also nioxin is amazinggggg so give that a shot as well. you can find it at any salon. the oils can be found at a health good store or you can just mix the oil into your conditioner.Herbal Hair Re-growth Treatment Shampoo its really work?

  • Is There any type of Shampoo,Oil,Cream Or Treatment I can do so my hair can grow faster?

    Here is some excellent tips:

Take little hair oil and give a good massage to your scalp and hair with your finger tips before going to bed in the night.

Massage your scalp and hair with your finger tips everyday after bath.

Add henna ,an egg and add little water , mix this nicely and make a paste of this, you can apply this on your hair and scalp once in two weeks.

(henna and egg is good for hair growth)

Add egg and carrot juice to your food diet.

If you have hair loss problem try to avoid bathing using shower instead use bucket and mug for bathing.

Eat some iron and protien rich foodsIs There any type of Shampoo,Oil,Cream Or Treatment I can do so my hair can grow faster?
Mane and tail is the safest. There is one available by Roge but the damage your hair sustains make the product pointless.

I used Mane and Tail (shampoo and conditioner are a must), Your hair grows in very healthy and strong.

Also, get trims every six months or so. for every two inches of new growth, get 1/2 an inch off to get rid of dead ends and reduce breakage. Is There any type of Shampoo,Oil,Cream Or Treatment I can do so my hair can grow faster?
DR. MIRACLES OR PROFECTIV IT WORKS VERY WELL
There is nothing that can make your hair grow faster. There are only products that promote healthy hair. If your hair is damaged then it will break off more quickly than you have time to see any length. If your hair is healthy then you'll be able to see the length because your hair isn't breaking off.

The only real thing that determines how quickly or slowly your hair will grow is genetics. I get about four to six inches a year while a friend of mine only gets about one or two. I use Doo Gro, but I think that may be geared more towards african american hair (I don't know what kind of hair you have). It grows just as quickly as it always did, but its thicker and healthier so it's not breaking off as soon as I touch it with a comb or brush.
Mane and Tail is supposed to be good but I haven't used it since I was little.
There's the Garnier Fruitiest that is supposedly supposed to do that. Also BB Super Gro but, that stuff doesn't even come with instructions!
Well, your hair grows about 1 1/2 inches every month. To increase that you can try and eat foods that are high in proteins(i.e. Fruits,Vegetables,Beans play a big role)

Drinking lots of water helps,also.Mane%26amp;Tail is a real good shampoo to use =] try to wash your hair everyday so that Your hair has more oxygen in order to grow. The addition of eating multi-vitamins.Also,Try to stay away from chemicals like gels, hairsprays. This will only sicken your hair, try to keep it natural.Leaving it down helps the hair have room to breathe and grow =]]
You may want to consider your diet and try a vitamin supplement formulated to help that. Work from the inside out.

I like the inusium 23 shampoo and conditioner does anyone use the leave in treatment? Is it worth getting?

hair is colored and damaged and falls out when I comb it since I had my baby.I like the inusium 23 shampoo and conditioner does anyone use the leave in treatment? Is it worth getting?
I use the leave in treatment, it is definately worth the money. The only bad part about it is that it can be messy because it is the consistency of water, so when you put it on your head, you tend to get a little wet, too. but other than that, it works really goodI like the inusium 23 shampoo and conditioner does anyone use the leave in treatment? Is it worth getting?
Yes it is. I poured the Infusium in a spray bottle.
When you color your hair sometimes it falls. Fact of life don't color your hair too many times thats ussually why it happens. anyway use lots of deep conditioner and your hair will stop falling.

Will using my anti-dandruff shampoo after the Alberto VO5 hot oil hair treatment damage my scalp or hair?

I just bought the Alberto VO5 hot oil hair treatment. I know that u use it before you shampoo. The thing is I use an antidandruff shampoo regularly. If i use them in combination, will there be damage because its an anti-dandruff shampoo instead of a regular one. (My anti dandruff shampoo is the Neutrogena one)Will using my anti-dandruff shampoo after the Alberto VO5 hot oil hair treatment damage my scalp or hair?
thing is with most anti dandruff shampoos such as head and shoulders - the chemicals in them which are used to treat the problem can often cause other problems such as irritation to the scalp and making the problem worse.

try using a shampoo wuth tea tree oil in - tea tree oil is known for being v.good for greasy hair and dandruff and helping sore itchy scalps. Will using my anti-dandruff shampoo after the Alberto VO5 hot oil hair treatment damage my scalp or hair?
No go ahead, the only damage anti dandruff shampoos do is fade coloured hair
it wont damage your hair or scalp just make it smooth and have a nice glossy shine!
    shouldn't hurt a thing..........

  • Is washing your head only twice a week with conditioners, shampoo and leave in treatment beneficial?

is washing your head only like 2-3 times a week more beneficial to avoid hair damage and frizzIs washing your head only twice a week with conditioners, shampoo and leave in treatment beneficial?
idk think so. Because the harmful pollution sitting on your scalp and pores along with the Dirty oil that causes bacteria would be on there longer. If you lived out in the country that might be different. There are Natural good oils in your hair and to preserve those use a natural Jojoba oil shampoo. It will clean and wash away all of that but leave those important oils in your hair that normally are stripped with conventional products.

Has anyone with thinning hair used a good shampoo or treatment that actually seen good results please tell me?

I take a pill called biotin, and my hair dresser says everytime i go get a cut that my hair is really healthy and i have lots of new growth. you can get it at any GNC or health store. i think at wal mart but not sure. and its like $6.00. this is all that has worked for me. not the shampoos or anything.

Also i don't do anything that pulls my hair. i don't hold my head back in the shower and wash it by stroking it backwards. i wait till i'm out and turn my head upside down in the sink and wash so i'm not pulling at all. and when i'm done i use a very lite towel to wrap it not a heavy one at all.

use a big toothed comb so you don't break your hair. when you get to a tangle work it out with you fingers.

Also stress you hair out as little as possible, don't fix it when you don't have to. if you have to put it up put it up loosly, if you don't let it blow in the wind.

Also try snacking on jello. it will back up the biotin. Good LuckHas anyone with thinning hair used a good shampoo or treatment that actually seen good results please tell me?
I have heard that Nioxin works great for thinning hair. I myself just started using it...but you usually have to wait a few weeks to see the results from what i was told. 3 different professional stylists have told me that they swear by it.

Good Luck.Has anyone with thinning hair used a good shampoo or treatment that actually seen good results please tell me?
Some of those commercials on tv aren't complete bullshit. You should check a few of them out.
If your hair has any chance of coming back in thicker, Nioxin does the trick. It does take a couple of weeks to notice, but I have seen it for myself. It's pricey but a little goes a long way and it basically just makes sure your scalp is in prime hair-growing condition. If it doesn't help, it may be genetics or some medication(s) you're on. I always notice thinning on clients with thyroid problems. Good luck!
i use the sunsilk sampoo .

Depending on how much you want to spend on shampoo, is going to determine which brand you should buy.

For a not so expensive brand that works great, I highly suggest Garnier prodcuts.

They have several different varieties of shampoos for different things you want to do to your hair.

Their shampoo always gives a nice shine, and they have shampoos to take care of split ends, longer hair, dry hair, curly, etc.

If you want to go a little more pricy, try Redken products.

You can get that at any hair salon.

They have the best shampoo for your situation, and they also have other spray/gel products to put in your hair to help that.

Nope, sorry it's a lot more permanent than that...it'll take time to wear off or grow out...probably only 6 months or less thoughDoes a pH balancing shampoo remove the japanese Chi straightening treatment?
well it may take time for th treatment to wear off.

try the shampoo I'm sure it will help you get back to your curly hair.
It will remove it if you do the Chi straightening treatment first and shampoo it out.
no. the chi straightner system is likea perm it chemical changes the structure of your hair a balanced shampoo will probably dry it out. but if you recently just put the chi. on like in the last 24 hours. use a moisturizing shampoo. which will probably give you a little curl back.

Does anyone have a good shampoo/conditioner to reduce Psorisis, or any other treatment for Psorisis?

Hi - I read your post and inquiry, and I know that this is a difficult situation to live with. I know this personally and professionally. I have been working with psoriasis sufferers for a long time and I too have had my personal experiences with it. There is a good book I would like to recommend to you, its called Healing Psoriasis Naturally written by Dr. John Pagano. He used to refer patients to me when I had a wellness center (I no longer have that center). One of the best ways to work with your skin condition is by internal cleansing. He writes about how to do this. The skin is an organ of elimination. If you body is not eliminating properly, the skin will try to do it for you. Make sure your elimination functions are working. I also know that some of the worst foods that you can eat when you have this condition are white flour (bread, rolls, pastries, pasta, pizza dough) and anything with sugar. There is also a homeopathic remedy that I've heard is good - and completely safe - its sulfur (and also inexpensive - like about $6). I hope this helps, all the best, Home Spa LadyDoes anyone have a good shampoo/conditioner to reduce Psorisis, or any other treatment for Psorisis?

there is nourkrin, a make which sells shampoo, conditioner and tablets at reasonable prices. also there is viviscal, a slightly more expensive brand of tablets and haircare treatments. in england a box of viviscal is about 拢40 in superdrug (where i used to work) and nourkrin was about 拢7. you can get these on the internet aswell on superdrug's website or other websites that sell haircare products.
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.

1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..

    2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.

    3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..

    4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.

    5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.

but considering this is after surgery, your hair falling out might be due to lack of vitamins and protein. mostly protein.

stress could very likely be the reason.. but protein consumption is very important in hair/nail growth and helps keep hair in its root.

im not diagnosing you, just wanted to let you know, more protein could possibly help?

    good luck! :]]

How to get really shiny hair? Does Shampoo/hair treatment/serum/sprays help? More info?

wash it every second or third day

use a heat protectant spray when using heated tools (including hairdryers)

or even when in the sun alot.

use a smooth, straight or shiny type of shampoo

shampoo your hair once, and rinse mostly

then shampoo a second time, making sure to get to all of the hair

and massaging your scalp alot to stimulate it,

    then condition it.

rinse it out, then finish it by having a cool shot of water all over.

you can either let it dry naturally,

or if you want to blow-dry it

    use a heat protectant Spray

use the dryer on medium heat, high fan.

when you've finished, use cool air all over

    to close the cuticles

    and keep shine in.

on the day/s between washing your hair

use a bit of leave in conditioner

    lightly spritzed all over

    and brushed through :)

i know it seems like alot, but its not hard.

and its defs worth it :)How to get really shiny hair? Does Shampoo/hair treatment/serum/sprays help? More info?
    Skip the shampoo,

And instead of lathering in conditioner, put in so much that is totally covers your head. Then leave it in for several minutes, then rinse it out so you can't see the conditioner. Immediately blow dry. The conditioner mostly stays on your head and infuses vitamins to make it sleek and shiny!

Hope this helps!!How to get really shiny hair? Does Shampoo/hair treatment/serum/sprays help? More info?
A friend of mine, Caroline, found years ago, as we were washing her equestrian horses, that they had a shine like no other.(1973)

We got into our usual water fight, I doused her with the bucket of Mane %26amp; Tail Shampoo. She washed her hair off, then rinsed it out, long, beautiful, red, knee length hair.

That evening, I noticed her hair was softer, it had more shine then ever before. So it has been Mane and Tale Shampoo ever since. (OH yes, she still has knee length hair but it is reddish / gray now)
yes. It all depends what product you use, how often you wash your hair and how well you take care of it. Once you start considering those factors your hair will shine naturally. There's always the instant shine spray and syrum products that you can use.
i heard that if you shampoo your hair before getting it wet it helps. also washing your hair in cold water helps.

  • Treatment ,shampoo & conditioner for bleached and permed hair?

i recently just bleached my hair red and i also perm my hair. i am aware that i have to stop perming it but i want to know what should i do 2 it 2 maintain it in good condition and not so dry and damaged .... HELPPPP!!!!Treatment ,shampoo %26amp; conditioner for bleached and permed hair?
Go to Wal*Mart and buy the shampoo and conditioner from Garnier Fructis. The bottles are lime green and they have several different types (i.e. for damaged hair, permed, or dyed hair). I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. :)

I drop a lot of hair! Anyone knows any kind of shampoo or something to treatment for hair losing?

Thank you very much!I drop a lot of hair! Anyone knows any kind of shampoo or something to treatment for hair losing?
Shampoo doesn't really stay on your scalp long enough to make a difference. Essential oil scalp massage is very potent and very effective. You can keep it on your scalp overnight for very good results.

I lost a lot of hair and this is what helped me the most.

If you want to learn about this and everything about female hair loss:

I drop a lot of hair! Anyone knows any kind of shampoo or something to treatment for hair losing?
i have the same problem. my hair is thin and i lose a lot. losing some is normal, but our problem can be caused by stress (in my case it gets worse when i'm stressed out) too many chemical processes, lots of heat tools poor diet, etc. etc. I take a multivitamin with lots of folic acid (prenatal vitamins are great!) use a good clarifying shampoo and a very tiny amount of conditioner and always rinse it very very well. also, stay away from hair products with a lot of alcohol like anti frizz sprays, gels and mousses, because they usually contain alcohol instead of water. almost all product has alcohol in it, thats why you use conditioner, but the no frizz ones contain more. be sure to get dead and split ends trimmed regularly, because they cause your hair to split all the way to the root and fall out. also, eat lots of veggies and calcium. It seems like a lot, but it really isn't. I choose to keep my hair short because it looks thicker and healthier that way, it looks thin and stringy when it grows out. I feel you're pain!! hope this helps!

What type of treatment i should have for acne and what type of shampoo I should use for dry hairs?

My hairs are dry I have used many types of shampoos but donot get any result so could be please let me knowWhat type of treatment i should have for acne and what type of shampoo I should use for dry hairs?
shampoos, dyes and all other products in the market available today have been commercialized to a cartain extent, which means they have harmful chemicles. If your hair is dry, you need to noruish it. The best thing for that is any hair oil. By this i mean, choose a hair oil that is not perfumed or colored. The one i use is parachute. I guess the ones which are good too are the ones made by dabar also.

If your hair is dry, dont wash it too often. Blowdrying and other treatments like coloring damage the hair follicle and dry up its natural oils. Heat oil and apply to your hair twice a week. The hot oil will help open the pores on your scalp and the hair oil can seep in and streghten the roots.

For acne on the other hand, you must keep your skin clean. Buy a good facewash for oily skin and wash your face 2-3 times a day. Also, when you have a bath with hot water, splash cold water on your face just before you get out of the bathroom. Warm water opens the pores in your skin, these pores get clogged with dirt from the air and thats when you get pimples.

    SO

    1) Wash your face 2-3 times a day with a good oil control face wash.

    2) Splash cold water on your face after a hot bath to close open pores

    3) Apply eggs to your hair once in 2 weeks as a conditioner.

    4) apply hot oil and massage scalp twice a week for thicker stronger hair and to avoid dryness

    5) dont touch anything to your face, for examples your hands, they may be dirty and infection could enter through broken skin. What type of treatment i should have for acne and what type of shampoo I should use for dry hairs?
For acne try any tea tree oil ptoducts, they do work i like the spot stick . for dry hair get coconut oil apply to dry haircover with towel leave for 1/2 hour or longer then wash out,you can apply by rubbing some in your hands them smooth over your hair,to calm it down.
okay the shampoo you should use is t-gel from neutragena. acne i work in a pharmacy so ask a doctor if differen or duac is right for you. good luck
Depends on acne type and sevearity. Use Head %26amp; shoulder's black conditioning sachets in market. wash face 3-4 times a day.

My grandmother lost hair from chemotherapy which shampoo/treatment/wig should she use to help regrow hair??

She has lost all hair from chemo. I need some input on which shampoo/treatment/wig i should get her. Or which store i can get the shampoo or get her a wig. Please be sure on the shampoo/treatment/wig i don't want to get her something that doesn't work. Thank you!My grandmother lost hair from chemotherapy which shampoo/treatment/wig should she use to help regrow hair??
There is no treatment that will accelerate hair growth for your grandmother. Wish there was a fix because I would buy it. When your grandmother stops chemo, her hair will start to re-grow. Chosing from the three you suggested, I would take the wig.

Personally, I am going bald throughout the whole thing. I wear a baseball cap during hours when the sun can burn my scalp. Once I stopped the AC and started Taxol, my hair has started to return even though I am still as bald as a cue ball.

Hope this helps...My grandmother lost hair from chemotherapy which shampoo/treatment/wig should she use to help regrow hair??
I know the vitamin biotin is good for hair growth. Get it at GNC, i was looking for something to regrow my hair due to brreakage and damage and this is what they recommened, but i also take a multi-vitamin, so i was warned to NOT take it everyday. She told me they tell cancer patients about it. Your grandma should try it.
Her hair will grow back when she finishes the drug that made her lose her hair. She can use baby shampoo on her hair as it starts to grow as it is soft and gentle.

Wigs can come from the mall or organizations like locs of love or looks like me. Wigs are put on with tape and may be itchy. Some times bald is best. Remember beauty is on the inside and anyways I think bald is beautiful!
Merle Norman has wigs for sale, you can buy them online or look for a local store in your area. That is where I bought my wig. They have many kinds and colors.

Is there a shampoo for colored treated hair AND dandruff treatment in one??

How does one tell an ex that their treatment of their children (dog shampoo for head lice) is unacceptble?

I don't want to lose access to my children by questioning and infuriating their mother. How does one tell an ex that their treatment of their children (dog shampoo for head lice) is unacceptble?
You do know that dog shampoo is as safe as baby shampoo in most cases? While it wont get rid of lice, it wont hurt the kids. Its made with the same stuff as baby shampoo because it is almost impossible to keep it out of the pets eyes, and the pet is going to lick it.

After reading the next person, I asked my grandmother who is up on all the home remedies. She says using dog shampoo is a legit alternative. And as I already said, its safe, wont hurt the kids. How does one tell an ex that their treatment of their children (dog shampoo for head lice) is unacceptble?
By reading everyones statements, I guess not to many people hear have had lice. Well...I have and my kids have and my cousins kids and so on...Dog shampoo does work. I know people say to just by lice killer shampoo but sometimes that's too expensive and dog schampoo doesn't hurt the kids heads. I mean I don't recommend them to use on a daily bases but to kill the lice, yes it works. We have used it before because we didn't have the money to by the med. but we had dog shampoo cause we had a dog.

It will kill the lice unless there is just too many lice in the kids heads then you HAVE to buy the meds.
Just flat out say it. The two of you are adults and should be able to communicate with one another in regards to your children without getting into petty fights or arguments.

    Call your ex, and say to her ';I just wanted to have a quick chat with you about when our kids got head lice. I really don't think the dog shampoo was appropriate to use on them.. in the future would you mind just grabbing some of the shampoo that's specifically formulated for head lice? If you can't, I can pick some up for you it's not a problem.';

Also, if things like this are happening on a frequent basis, you'll need to document them. Once you have enough documentation about how she abuses, neglects, or otherwise harms your children, you take her to court and sue for custody. Your children should be safe, and if they are not they need to be with you.

Anyway, if she loses it or starts getting all angry with you or rude, just say ';I wasn't trying to upset you, I just want what's best for the kids and wanted to make sure we're on the same page. Sorry if I've insulted you in any way, that wasn't my intention.'; And then get off the phone. If you're nothing but plesant and considerate of the children, she can't really fault you for that. Even if she's immature enough to fault you for that, no court system would. :)

    Good luck.

P.S. If she tries to not allow you access to the kids without a court order, call the police and hav ethem escort you to her house. You will need a copy of the agreement you have that outlines the times you are allowed to see the kids, but the police WILL escort you there and force her to release the children to you.
Just tell her how you feel about it. Be honest and go by the rid your self.

I will say this however say this about your ex and the dog shampoo. It really isn't that big of deal like everyone on here wants you to believe.

Back when I was growing up we were pretty poor and I got head lice from a neighbor and my mom used the lice dog shampoo and it was a cheaper and bigger bottle than the rid!! It did the job and it never killed me or damaged my scalp. It worked just as good as the other lice shampoo.

But do what you feel is right.
It is simple, go and buy the lice shampoo and give it to her to use. Then just tell her you wanted to help out and try to get rid of it as badly as she does. You can also find info. online about treating humans with dog shampoo and how it is harmful. You also have to remember to much head lice treatment can be harmful as well. The clothes, bedding, has to be washed, floors vacuumed, parents, and over night friends also have to be treated. Head lice is more than a one time deal and an hour of work. I have a family of six and head lice happened, but it took us 2 treatments to beat the problem, and tons of cleaning, and washing. One thing is that if everyone and everything isn't treated and cleaned it won't go away. That means bagging toys untill the problem is solved. My Dr. gave us some stuff you leave in for 12-14 hours, and it worked great! We used the lice comb everyday for 2 weeks, to make sure we catching all lice and eggs we might have missed. Good Luck and if done properly you can beat head lice.
First of all, do you have legal rights to see your children? If so, she cannot hold your children from you, unless you prove unfit. Tell her that the shampoo is dangerous for children, and to use a children's shampoo!! If she gets mad and tries to keep you children from you, report her, and fight for your rights to see them!
This probably isn't what you want to hear..but they're her kids too.I'm sure she was doing what she thought was best for them.Everyone makes mistakes.

I'd say forgive her and move on..unless the kids are really upset by this?

Then if you make a mistake in the near future, you can remind her of the dog shampoo incident haha

Don't do anything rash to jepordise your paternal rights.
You won't. Just tell her that dog shampoo will not get rid of the lice, that you have to have special shampoo....as well as bag up all stuffed toys, pillows, blankets with a special spray and vacuum that crap out of everything. Lice sucks!

Go buy the stuff and take it to her.
Ohhhh you got one of those exs, huh? Man, I'm sorry! Im in my mid-30's and the ex has finally calmed down a little, but I feel ya. You got to tell it to her straight. Or do the treatment yourself. Lice shampoo isn't that much at Wal-Mart. Dog shampoo? That could be damaging to their scalp! She sounds like an idiot.
That is very unacceptable! You should just approach the situation as calmly as possible! They are your children too and she cannot keep you away from them because of something like this. Also remember that by her doing something like this she could have them taken away from her.
i guess you dont. the head lice are indicative of a filthy home, and i doubt you are going to volunteer to come and clean it every week.
LOL All though it says Dog Shampoo its basically the same ingredients . I give that person credit for improvising . Believe it or not allot of people use dog shampoo because it makes there hair shine
One could set up a meeting with a professional in discussing parenting issues with the other parent..
maybe go and buy some lice shampoo for your kids and say lets try this.
Tell her to read the bottle. I'm sure it says that it shouldn't be used on humans.
why dont you clean the childrens hair?

she wont have to use it then
try putting ur ex on a leash--she might get it
oh please honey, you just tell her, that is horrible.
just be honest with her but in a tactful way

  • What's the best flea treatment for puppies? Is the shampoo any good?

No, flea shampoos are not helpful. They wash fleas off, but they don't get rid of all of them - animal's get reinfested quickly afterwards.

Get some proper flea treatment, from a vets. Pet stores are not licensed to sell medication, therefore their flea treatments don't work - they've got chemicals in them that are useless against fleas and sometimes harmful to cats and dogs.

If your puppy is over 8 weeks of age he can have any of the veterinary spot-ons like Frontline or Advantage. If he's under 8 weeks old, it will have to be the spray version of Frontline.

ChaliceWhat's the best flea treatment for puppies? Is the shampoo any good?
I know from personal experience that Joy dish soap works the best to get rid of fleas because it has the highest lye content. Might not be great on the pups skin but neither are the fleas. What's the best flea treatment for puppies? Is the shampoo any good?
Please don't use flea shampoo. It's really just an insecticide that is often toxic, especially to young dogs and cats. Plus, as soon as you wash it off, it doesn't work anymore. Any regular shampoo should do just as good of a job without the toxins.

The absolute best and safest flea treatments out there are Advantage and Frontline. Please purchase from a reputable source. They are safe and the most effective products on the market at this time. You just put the liquid on the back of the dog once a month and it works killing and repelling fleas. Please don't use cheap substitutes (Hartz, Sargent's) as these are just as bad as flea shampoos.

For very young puppies (like less than 7 weeks of age), there really isn't anything specific to fleas on the market. The best thing is to bathe the pups with some dishwashing liquid, scrubbing and causing lots of suds to suffocate the fleas. Make sure you get on top of the head, too. Then rinse really really well and use a flea comb to pick off the dead and dying fleas.
Try 7 dust. It is safe around pets, children, and you can put it around on the cartpet and it kills the flees in the house. I have used it myself and it worked wonders.
Shampoo for puppies works great. They are to young for anything else and flea collars are worthless.
Frontline works better than shampoos, but definately ask your vet. If the puppy is very young this treatment may not be good for it!
as a grooming asst, we get the best flea shampoo there is... and even that doesnt do **** . go to your vet and see if he can find safe medication to give your puppy.
the shampoo is good. It works really well.
On Yahoo News a few days ago, the best thing you can do is to vacuum your rugs every day. They claim that it works as well as fumigating the house.

To get rid of fleas, you treat the environment, not the animal.
if the dogs under about 8 wks use advantage(vets have it). after about 8 wks any treatment will do alright. dont bother with the powders though, they dont do much. i breed apbts and this is a recurring problem for me. advantage has always worked best for us.
Most flea products are toxic to pups younger than 10-12 weeks old. If the pup is less than 3 months old, the best thing to do is simply wash them in Dawn detergent. This will wash off the fleas but not kill them. Be sure to keep soap out of the pup's eyes %26amp; ears....
Tea Tree Oil works great and is natural not chemical...also wash and clean everything your puppy has contact with, beds, blankets, pillows.....etc...

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree, not for everyday use, the conditioner is great as well.

Do I have to shampoo my hair before putting on a 30MIN hair treatment?

I took a shower this morning, and I was curious if I still have to wash my hair to put on the hair treatment. I don't have oily hair, btw. It's a conditioning treatment that salons use to revitalize, soften, and strengthen hair. I'm kinda iffy about (already) taking a shower in the morning, taking another shower, then 30 minutes later, rinsing off my hair again.Do I have to shampoo my hair before putting on a 30MIN hair treatment?
not if your gonna be rinsing it out soonDo I have to shampoo my hair before putting on a 30MIN hair treatment?
If you wash your hair too many times, you are stripping your hair of its natural oils, which can lead to breakage. I never wash my hair the same day I'm going to get my hair treated. Go ahead and do your treatment, and wash it afterwards...you already washed it once in the morning, so you are fine. No need for any more washing.
Nope. It's actually better to do hair treatments to unwashed hair. If it has been washed recently, it's more dry and thus, more susceptible to damage. A little oil is good :)
the conditioner has to attach to the hair strand. If the hair is dirty the conditioner can't work as well. Spray or mousse or gel can affect it.

Wait till you usually wash your hair. You want to get the best results, right ?

Doesn't it say use on clean hair ?
    Read the directions.
no it will be fine just wash it after or even better keep it on over night and wash it in the morning.
it cant hurt to wash it ahead of time so i recommend that

What is the best protein treatment for african american relaxed hair and a good shampoo and conditioner?

My hair has breakage on a little area on the side of my head and it shedds I would like some good suggestions of shampoos, condiioners and protein treatments. I tried Aphogee and it didn't help. What is the best protein treatment for african american relaxed hair and a good shampoo and conditioner?
Which Aphogee did you use? Did you use the APHOGEE Intensive Two Minute Keratin Reconstructor , or the APHOGHEE Two-Step Protein Treatment? The Two-Step Protein Treatment is the best one and you must apply moisture afterward because protein drys out the hair. I suggest deep conditioning with the Giovanni Smooth as Silk Deep Moisture Conditioner after this treatment to help restore moisture.

May I also suggest trying the Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise mixed with one egg. Cover with a plastic cap and keave this treatment on the hair for 30 minutes. Another good deep conditioner is the Curls Hair Ecstasy Hair Tea. Make sure you condition your hair every time you shampoo. You may want to try co-washing also(shampooing with conditioner only - do not use a conditioner that contains silicone), to restore moisture loss which is the biggest reason why African American hair breaks off.

Sleep in a satin scarf or bonnet, moisturize and oil hair daily, do not comb your hair while it is dry, and limit the use of heated appliances to prevent breakage.

MY HAIR GREW DOWN MY BACK BUT I TREAT MY HAIR FOR AT LEAST 10 HOURS BECAUSE I GO TO SLEEP WITH THE CHOLESTOROL TREATMENT IN MY HAIR. THE NEXT DAY I JUST PUT SOME DR. MIRACLE DAMAGED HAIR TREATMENT ON FOR AN HOUR, I GREASE MY HAIR EVERYDAY AND IT LOOKS ALL SHINY SMOOTH AND HEALTHY. BUT MY HAIR GREW KIND OF LONG. THATS WHAT I DO. AND I WASH MY HAIR EVERY 2 WEEKS, WITH ANYTHING. BUT THE KEY TO HEALTHY ETHNIC HAIR IS TO KEEP IT HYDRATED SO THE SHAMPOOS NEVER MATTER TO ME.

I lost alot of hair about 5years ago, what is the best shampoo/conditioner/treatment to use?

as natural as possible because so many contain very harsh chemicals. I hope you were checked by the Dr for any underlying health problems. All the best.I lost alot of hair about 5years ago, what is the best shampoo/conditioner/treatment to use?
I live in Norway and here there is a very good product for hair loss here.

It's called 'Arcon' and they sell a package that has a mouth spray which you spray twice under the tongue, allowing it to to settle for 2 minutes before swallowing and also two capsules that you take once a day. It's very expensive (about 50.00 pounds) but there have been extremely good reports from satisfied customers following clinical trials. The same company also market a shampoo and other similar products. I have hair loss and this product was good. You need, however, a lot of patience; results don't come overnight.

I also once used to take Zinc tablets and i noticed, and so did my wife, that i seemed to be gaining hair on my scalp. Maybe you can try this as well.

I'm sure if you check the web you could get it where you liveI lost alot of hair about 5years ago, what is the best shampoo/conditioner/treatment to use?
What was the cause of your hair loss 5 yrs ago? If it was due to male pattern baldness then the best shampoo for hair loss is Nizoral and Neutrogena T-Gel. Nizoral shampoo contains 2% ketoconazole which has been shown to grow hair in human studies for men with male pattern baldness (see link below). T-Gel contains coal tar extract which has shown some hair growth as well. Finally, Head and Shoulders, Clinic All Clear, and Pantene Pro V all contain zinc pyrithione which has shown to be effective in growing hair in some cases too (see link below).
Pantien Pro-v or Tressmay they both work realy well with damaged hair you need to wash your hair and condition it for 30 days stright then you need too only use conditinor for 10 days when the 30days is over then wash it everother day and condition it ever other day for the rest or the time that you have shampoo.
Ask your doctor. And tressemme is a good brand and it's best to stock up when they're on sale. Don't use VO5 it's kinda sucky.

Doesn't so much for your hair just cleans it. Adds no Volume. Even the on when the flavor/purpose or whatever is volume.
ApHogee 2 step protein treatment. follow with the balancing moisturizer. IMPORTANT: follow all directions VERY carefully. It can be used on all hair types and stops breakage and shedding immediately.
try using baby shampoo its the mildest thing on the market but get a good brand not the cheap stuff..try johnsons baby shampoo..or even simple shampoo that is very mild as well....

Can i use the CHI Infra Treatment Thermal Protective Treatment without the Chi infra Shampoo?

Can i use this without applying the Chi shampoo, i didn't buy the shampoo and after all the negative reviews i really don't want to waste the money... and i also was wondering if the CHI Infra Treatment Thermal Protective Treatment can be used only once a week for treaments?? HELP lolCan i use the CHI Infra Treatment Thermal Protective Treatment without the Chi infra Shampoo?
Yes you can use the protective treatment without the shampoo. The protective treatment is just that. It does not matter which product you use to shampoo or condition first. (Using a clarifying product once a week is a good idea tho, to help everything else work most efficiently.) Your shampoo, conditioner and all other products do not need to all be from the same line. All that matters is that you are using the right products for your hair type.

Also, it is a good idea to use the CHI silk infusion. I use it on my wet hair, then right before I straighten it, and a tiny bit when I am finished. It is really great for your hair. It helps to protect it from heat styling and it leaves your hair shiny, not greasy, and smells great.

  • My friend used headlice treatment on her cat to kill fleas. shampoo and advantex didnt work ?

is it safe for her to use that on a cat.My friend used headlice treatment on her cat to kill fleas. shampoo and advantex didnt work ?
Headlice shampoo is for headlice, which are a completely different species to fleas and it therefore won't hurt fleas.

Flea shampoo is also useless - stores aren't licensed to sell the stuff that works on fleas. Advantix is also very NOT safe for a cat, it's for dogs only, it contains a chemical very toxic to cats.

Tell you friend to get proper flea treatment from a VETS - and stop putting random chemicals on her, she'll hurt her!

ChaliceMy friend used headlice treatment on her cat to kill fleas. shampoo and advantex didnt work ?
NO! Do not use 'people' products on poor kitty, unless you are given very careful instruction by a vet. Kitty can't handle the harsh chemicals and perfumes that are in people products, and may likely end up with a painful rash, allergic reaction or worse, and have to go to the vet for a far more serious reason. If you have not seen the vet, then I would suggest a visit, (or at least a phone call). Kitty's bed and other play/live areas should be well vacuumed and cleaned to get rid of the fleas that are waiting for her/him. Try 'RoundUp' as a flea treatment, if Advantex didn't work. (Was it applied properly?). There are also other cat friendly products that are available at department stores or pet shops that you can try, but NO people remedies! I strongly suggest you ask a vet for more options. Keeping Kitty happy and healthy means using appropriate products as well as TLC.

Good luck, be kind to kitty.
TO kill the ones on the cat, bathing with a bit of dish-soap in the water will kill the fleas . . . ON the cat. However, to kill them in the rug, crevices in the furniture, in the cat's bed, etc., I suggest using *food grade* Diatomaceous earth. It is not a chemical, %26amp; keeps working almost non-stop. It causes the dehydration of hard-bodied insects, safely. It is non-toxic, %26amp; is used as a supplement *%26amp;* internal --as well

as external-- parasiticide by many. You can check it out, at:

We use it with our dogs, both ways. It does kill the bugs, but not immediately. It works quicker, the dryer the climate is at the time.

Since it isn't a chemical, it doesn't break down after awhile. (It may wash or be blown away, though.) I noticed a BIG difference after dusting the interior of our dog house with it! And, a side benefit I've noticed, is that is seems to work as a dry shampoo, too! Probably due to its anti-caking properties, which it is FDA approved for, to use in grains %26amp; grain products.

Kudos for being concerned about your friend's pet!

No that is not safe. She needs to get Advantage or Frontline from the vet. Advantix is dog flea medicine. Your friend is going to poison her cat if she hasn't already. She needs the vet to do a check on his kidneys to make sure these treatments haven't damaged them.
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! please tell her to bathe the cat very well several times if necessary and get all that poison off of the cat before the cat licks it and dies!!! do you realize how poisonous that stuff is?
I don't think so. I would use Dawn dish soap (the blue one). It does kill fleas. Just make sure to rinse well.

What shampoo is good while using hair loss treatment?

I'm currently using Tresemme (Moisture for dry/damaged hair) but I also have Tea Tree shampoo, but my mom said you should use a gentle shampoo, like baby shampoo. Any good recommendations?

Oh and PS, the treatment consists of pills and a topical ';serum';.What shampoo is good while using hair loss treatment?
I was using tea tree shampoo but i thought it was way too harsh, right now i am using gillette's daily balance shampoo. I am using pills and topical serum as well. Your mom is probably right about the baby shampoo...I also tried a moisturizing shampoo but i found that it made my scalp sort of break out and caused more hair loss i think...I talked to someone about it and they said it was probably over-moisturized.What shampoo is good while using hair loss treatment?

After using lice treatment shampoo can i use my regular shampoo?

Not that same day, no. You need the residual to stick around a while to soak into the nits (eggs). Usually it's best to wait at least a day or so before you use a regular shampoo. Actually, if you only used one treatment, and you want to be sure of total kill- use a second shampoo treatment on the third day. Then a day later you can use your normal shampoo.

Is there any shampoo or treatment available to make my hair thicker?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a ';little'; honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences ';clean happy'; conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.
