Mane 'N Tail or Creme of NatureWhich is the best shampoo n conditioner or treatment for very dry hair?
If you don't mind spending a little extra money, I'd highlight recommend the Goldwell Shampoo/Treatment from their ';Kerasilk'; line. It does a great job on dry/damaged hair. I got a good size bottle of shampoo and a huge bottle of the conditioning treatment for about $28 at a higher priced salon.
If you're not looking to spend too much, as someone else suggested, the Aussie Moist line is pretty good. I found the conditioner to be a little bit heavy in that if I used it a few days in a row it was making my hair kind of hard to style...but 2-3 times a week was fine.Which is the best shampoo n conditioner or treatment for very dry hair?
I use Dove moisturizing shampoo for medium to thick hair. Plus, once a week use a deep conditioning treatment like Queen Helene's Cholesterol. It sounds gross, and it kinda feels that way, too, but it's excellent.
Other than using shampoos and conditioners - You should also consider going in for oil massages - for your hair.
The deal is - A lot of these shampoos and conditioners dont really replenish the moisture on a permanent basis - you need to keep using them in order to maintain that ';glossy/soft'; look.
You can use oils like - almond or jojoba... massage your scalp and apply to your hair. After an hour or so, wash your hair with regular shampoo and follow it up with a conditioner.
my suggestion..and i swear by this..is putting mayonnaise in my DRY hair..
when hair is wet, it becomes water logged causing the hair to not soak up the conditioners as well.
i have shoulder length hair so i use 1/3 cup mayonaise mixed with a little bit of regular conditioner ((or essential oil because the mayo smells a bit weird))
apply to dry hair and wrap hair in a warm towel..the heat helps allow hair to soak all the good stuff up. ((warm the towel in the dryer for a few minutes))
hope this helps!!
This should help. Beat an egg in a cup of milk. When it foams, rub it into the scalp.Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly with water.Carry out this routine twice a week for excellent results for dry damaged hair. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.
use nivea protien repair shampoo for dry and damaged hair.....itssssss the best shampoo.and only costs 4.99$.
Depending on what price you are wanting to pay, I have two recommendations.
1st product line which is a little pricey is the Redken Smooth Down line, from salon. They have a really great treatment, Butter Treat, for extremely dry hair. (Use the shampoo and then put on the treatment and let it sit on your hair for an hour, then rinse.)
2nd product line is the Aussie ';Moist'; products. (Use the Moist shampoo and then the 3 minute DEEEP treatment. Again let it stay in your hair for about an hour, then rinse.)
I use both of these product lines and really like them.
