I doused flea shampoo and treatment on the dog we got, will there still be fleas in the carpet?

We just got him and took him straight to the tub once we brought him in.I doused flea shampoo and treatment on the dog we got, will there still be fleas in the carpet?
Seriously doubt it, as fleas do not live very long once separated from the host. Although I would recommend washing the dog's bedding, to ensure that the fleas do not come back.I doused flea shampoo and treatment on the dog we got, will there still be fleas in the carpet?
Fleas can get anywhere! I wouldn't worry so much about fleas in the carpet as much as flea eggs. Be sure to treat the house, anywhere the dog goes. Also, treat the yard, as that is probably where they are coming from, and be sure to get your dog on some flea prevention as well.
i dout that there will be fleas but remember that all dogs scratch but that dousent mean they have fleas. and if there are fleas on the carpet spray the carpet with flea spray (they sell it at walmart) hope this helps!

it's possible one could of jumped off on the way in, or onto you, and then into the carpet, to be on the safe side you should treat your carpet, it only takes one pregnant one to have a full blown infestation. Nasty little blood suckers. If you are worried about fogs and sprays, you can check into some less toxic ways to get rid of fleas.

Good Luck.
